After the summer casual service schedule that the temple operates after Obon, the regular service schedule begins again on Sunday, September 9th, and that is when we will have our September Memorial (shotsuki) service.
Our monthly memorial services are usually held on the first Sunday of each month to remember and honour those who have passed away in that month regardless of year.
Usually, mail reminders are sent out to the next of kin but due to changing circumstances we have not always been able to reach families and hope that by publishing the names of those who have passed in our Guiding Light newsletter, we can still reach and remind families and dear friends of the month of their loved ones honouring.
