DESCRIPTION:With summer finally here\, it’s time to come together as a community and give our beloved temple the care it deserves. We are excited to announce our Summer Temple Clean-Up day\, and we need your helping hands to make it a success!\n\nEvent Details: \n\nDate: Saturday\, August 17th\, 2024\nTime: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM\nLocation: Toronto Buddhist Church\, 1011 Sheppard Avenue West\n\nCan’t make it on Saturday? No worries! If you are unable to join us on the 17th\, we welcome volunteers to come by during the week leading up to the event. Your contribution\, no matter how big or small\, will make a significant difference. \n\nWhy Cleaning Matters: The World Economic Forum highlighted the benefits of cleaning\, not only as a physical activity but also as a way to declutter the mind. Cleaning can teach valuable lessons in core Buddhist principles\, such as mindfulness and simplicity. The act of cleaning is a meditative practice that offers the chance to meditate and be present\, in the midst of daily tasks.\n\n\nThis is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow temple members\, enjoy a sense of accomplishment\, and keep our temple a welcoming and serene place for all. Please let us know if you plan to attend by contacting the office at 416-534-4302 or tbc@tbc.on.ca.\n\nTogether\, we can ensure our temple remains a beautiful\, welcoming place for all!
