About Us

Welcome to

In this modern world it’s easy to get swept away by our busy and complicated lives. Whether it be travelling to and from our many scheduled activities, caring for our loved ones, or being plugged in to one of our many devices, our minds are constantly running. Taking the time to stop, breathe, and realize the beauty in everything around us is something everyone can benefit from.

One of the most common things we hear from people when they first walk into our temple is the sudden feeling of calm that comes over them. Our temple is specially designed to do just that…to make you feel at peace.

Here at Toronto Buddhist Church we have weekly Sunday services in English that are open to everyone, as well as monthly Japanese services.

If you have children, bring them along. We have a fun and interactive children’s program on the first and third Sunday of every month aimed at giving your children the foundations they will need to live a life of compassion.

We also offer a wide range of lectures and classes such as introduction to Buddhism and meditation, as well as special interest topics with guest speakers from other faith traditions and specialists in different fields of life planning.

Our goal is to help you reach a place of peace and compassion that you can carry with you at all times.

The community in our temple is very accepting and we embrace the understanding that every person who walks through our doors is an important and valued addition to our community.

Thank you for coming to our website today and please know that you are welcome to come to any of our services or join in one of our many activities.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
