Workshop: Buddhism And Mental Health with Dr. Jennifer Bright

TBC is pleased to announce a new online speaker series called “Buddhism and…” These online seminars will be an opportunity to learn about Buddhism and other topics of interest from Canadian life. In 2022, TBC will host two seminars – one in the Spring, and one in the Fall.

As our inaugural speaker, Dr. Jennifer Bright will be speaking about Buddhism and Mental Health. She is an expert in this field through her work in Buddhist psycho-spiritual care at Mount Sinai Hospital (Toronto) as well as her position as adjunct professor in the Master of Pastoral Studies program (Buddhist stream) in Emmanuel College (Toronto School of Theology and Univ. of Toronto), teaching courses such as “Buddhist Psychotherapy” and “Buddhist Approaches to Mental Health.”

With mental illness experienced 1 in 3 Canadians in their lifetimes many of us are affected by it directly or indirectly. This will be a valuable opportunity to explore the relationship between Buddhism and mental health. Please join us for this 2-part presentation on 04 April, and 02 May, 2022 8:00 PM (EST).
