All are welcome and no experience is needed! Volunteers will receive a complimentary bag of Komochi anad lunch will be provided.

Mochi Tsuki is an important annual fund raising event athte temple. At this event, we steam mochi gome (glutenous rice), ound the rice to a uniform consistency and form it to make Komochi, Osonae (Okagami) and Anko mochi.
To those who have generously volunteered in the page, we hope you can make it out again. For those who have not previously attended, we invite you to take part and hope you consider making this event a part of your annual calendar of events.

Mochi ordering details:
- Download, print, complete and send us a copy of your 2025 mochi request. Click here for a copy of the form.
- Submit the form to the office or email it to Joanne at Joanne@Kataoka.ca
- Order deadline is December 22, 2025
- Pick up your order on Dec 30 between 2pm – 6pm. Large orders of 10 or more can only be picked up after 4pm.

- Osonae (Okagami) $10/set
- Anko mochi $15/box of 6 **limited quantities**
